Blackpool pigeon show at the 'Winter Gardens' is a world famous racing pigeon/show racer show. This event draws 20,000 visitors over the weekend. Due to the hard work of Andy Lowe [Fancy pigeons] and the forward thinking of the'British Homing World'committee fancy and flying pigeons were added to the show in January 2007.

  In 2007 I was very proud to be asked to be one of the first fancy pigeon judges of my chosen breed which is English Modena.

  In 2008 we had Rick Barker of California with his steward Mr Willi Richert of Kansas U.S.A. both very well known in the world of Modena fanciers

  This year, 2009 once again in the show will be held in the Spanish Bar and I have been asked to judge Modenas for the second time. I am very much looking forward to the whole Blackpool experience which is in my opinion the best Pigeon event of the year.
